Policies

A signed contract and completed retainer are required to officially reserve a session date. Session pricing and image counts vary by package, including tiered portrait packages.

The retainer is non-refundable because it reserves calendar space, planning time, and availability that cannot usually be offered to another client once booked. The remaining balance must be paid according to the timeline stated in the signed contract, invoice or selected package terms. Last minute (<5 days) booking is applicable to a non-refundable rush service fee. *Prices are subject to change

Clients will receive a private project link from me for their session. This project link may include important details related to the session experience, such as gallery access, image selection, downloads, invoices, contracts, or other session-related information depending on the package and stage of service.

For sessions with image selection, the project link will lead to a private online gallery where clients can review their images, select favorites when applicable, and download final edited files once the gallery is complete. Clients are responsible for saving downloaded images before the gallery or project link expires.

The project link is intended for the Client’s personal use and should not be shared publicly unless the gallery is specifically delivered for sharing with family and friends. Access to gallery features, downloads, and store options may vary depending on the package selected.

All sessions are delivered through a private online gallery where final images may be viewed, selected, downloaded, and shared with loved ones. Depending on the package selected, clients receive a curated number of edited images, and additional digital images or the full gallery may be available for purchase.

For standard portrait packages, additional digital images are priced individually, and a full gallery upgrade may also be offered when stated in the package or contract. Final edited images are delivered by digital download for personal use.

If a client needs to cancel or reschedule, notice should be given as soon as possible. Retainers are non-refundable, and previously paid amounts may remain subject to the cancellation and rescheduling terms in the signed agreement.

Military life can change quickly, and military relocation, PCS orders, deployment, training changes, or other command-directed moves are not treated like a standard cancellation when timely notice and basic documentation are provided. The business is military-family aware and aims to protect clients from losing money on unused sessions because of official orders outside their control.

When official military orders affect a booked session or bundle, reasonable options may include rescheduling before the move, applying unused funds as a credit for up to twelve months (great for Deployments), transferring the credit as a gift certificate, or refunding amounts paid for services not yet rendered when rescheduling is not possible.

Clients book Maritess Rocha Photography with the understanding that sessions are photographed and edited in a soft, honest, and storytelling style that reflects the existing portfolio and body of work.

While reasonable preferences are welcomed, final artistic decisions, image selection, and editing style remain part of the photographer’s creative judgment.

All images remain the copyright of the photographer. Clients receive a personal-use license for delivered images, which allows downloading, sharing with family and friends, posting on personal social media, and creating personal printed products unless otherwise limited in the signed agreement.

My editing style is soft and non-invasive. This includes removal of distractions and basic enhancement. If a request of advances scar or acne removal refer to Additional Fees. I do not offer tattoo removal or body enhancement.

A safe and respectful environment is required for all sessions. If unsafe, threatening, or harassing conditions arise for the photographer, assistants, or equipment, services may be paused or ended, and normal payment obligations may still apply according to the signed contract.
